Roxy Reads:
Hyde in Hollywood

7pm May 31
Take a break from our full-size mainstage productions and join us as we continue our Roxy Reads series with a reading of HYDE IN HOLLYWOOD by Peter Parnell. This is the perfect opportunity to sit back and listen to what makes great plays work: the story.

In Hollywood in 1939, an actor/director named Julian Hyde is blackmailed by a gossip columnist known as Hollywood Confidential who threatens to reveal Hyde’s homosexuality. Hyde is coerced into revealing secrets of other Hollywood stars. Hyde plots revenge by making a film about Hollywood Confidential’s life, revealing all of his secrets.

Stick around after the reading for a talkback with our company of actors. We will discuss your thoughts, impressions and analysis of the selected work, and then our professional company will weigh in with their opinions to create a dialogue about each piece.

Tickets $25
