RYAN BOWIE, Executive Director

Ryan Bowie, Executive Director at the Roxy Regional Theatre in Clarksville, TNA graduate of Frostburg State University, Ryan Bowie joined the Roxy Regional Theatre as Director of Fundraising and Development in January 2011, later taking the reins as Executive Director in July 2016. Ryan made his Roxy Regional Theatre acting debut as Jinx in Forever Plaid and has since appeared as The Baker in Into the Woods, Jonathan Harker in Frank Wildhorn’s Dracula: The Musical, Bob Cratchit in A Christmas Carol, Max in The Sound of Music, Ernst/Reinhold in Spring Awakening, Sir Robin in Monty Python’s Spamalot, Hedwig in Hedwig and the Angry Inch and Riff Raff in The Rocky Horror Show, among many others. He has also served as director and/or choreographer at the Roxy for The Giver, Ain’t Misbehavin’ and I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change. Other professional performance credits include Jesus in Godspell (New York), Hamilton in the NYC premier of Dotty Dot: A New Children’s Musical, Freddy in My Fair Lady (Midwest), Jonas in The Giver (Chicago), Ryan in High School Musical (Midwest), Jack Chesney in Charlie’s Aunt (Midwest), Dick in Dames at Sea (Maryland), J. EMILY ROURKE, General Director

Emily RourkeEMILY ROURKE, a graduate of Auburn University with a BFA in Musical Theatre, joined the Roxy Regional Theatre as Artistic Associate in January 2022 and stepped into the role of General Director in March 2022. Emily made her Roxy Regional Theatre debut in 2013 South Pacific and has since performed in productions of A Midsummer Night’s Dream: The Musical (Hermia), Richard O’Brien’s The Rocky Horror Show (Columbia), Steel Magnolias (Annelle), A Piece of My Heart (Martha), On the Town (Ivy Smith), Grease (Jan), Dames at Sea (Joan), Oklahoma! (Ado Annie), Damn Yankees (Gloria Thorpe) and A Chorus Line (Cassie), among many others. Choreography credits include All Shook Up, A Chorus Line, The Wizard of Oz, The Rocky Horror Show, The Pirates of Penzance Jr., Seussical the Musical and Harry Connick Jr.’s The Happy Elf, among others. CALVIN MALONE, Interim Managing Director

Calvin MaloneCALVIN MALONE joined the Roxy Regional Theatre as Interim Managing Director in March 2022. Originally hailing from Owensboro, KY, he attended Belmont University where he obtained his BFA in Musical Theatre Performance and was selected as the Dean’s Voice Scholar. As a professional actor, Calvin has performed across the country, from Montana to New York City. DONALD GROVES, Marketing & Rentals Director

Donald GrovesDonald Groves joined the Roxy Regional Theatre as the Marketing & Rentals Director in January 2022. Don has called Clarksville home since 2014 and comes to the Roxy following years with the Marketing Department of Fort Campbell MWR, and before that with the private marketing firm Thrive Creative Group. Don made his Roxy Regional Theatre acting debut as Javert in Les Miserables and has previously performed on the mainstage as Joe in It’s A Wonderful LIfe, The Boy’s Father in The Fantasticks, John Hinckley in Assassins, Joe Boyd in Damn Yankees, Wilbur in Hairspray, Judge Andrew Carnes in Oklahoma!, The Captain and Hennessey in Dames at Sea and in theotherspace in Marilyn/God and 35mm: A Musical Exhibition. Other favorite performances include Jean Valjean in Les Miserables, Mr. Snow in Carousel and the Beggar’s Opera with Maestro Lorin Maazel at the Castelton Festival in Virginia. Donald has performed with companies such as The Santa Fe Opera, the Roxy Regional Theatre, Arizona Broadway Theatre, The Liederkranz Opera, The Castelton Festival, Opera Southwest, Utah Festival Opera & Musical Theatre, Sarasota Opera, Opera Carolina, Lake George Opera and the West Village Musical Theatre Festival. MATTHEW COMBS, Technical Director and Props Master

Matthew CombsMatthew Combs joined the Roxy Regional Theatre as Technical Director and Props Master in March 2020. He made his Roxy debut in 2017 as Scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz and has since appeared in countless productions, including The Rocky Horror Show (Rocky), Assassins (Lee Harvey Oswald), Lysistrata (Kinesias), Hairspray (Link Larkin), Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Oklahoma! (Will Parker) and James and the Giant Peach (Grasshopper), among others. Other past credits include Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, Green Day’s American Idiot, Church & State (JCC CenterStage) and Emily (Bluff City Theatre). KENNETH L. WATERS, JR., Production Stage Manager

Kenneth L Waters JrA graduate of The College of Southern Maryland and Frostburg State University, Kenneth L. Waters, Jr. (or as his friends call him, Kenny) joined the Roxy Regional Theatre as Production Stage Manager in January 2020. Prior to that, he was busy performing shows around Maryland, D.C. and Virginia. Some of his roles include Private Anthony Smalls in A Solider’s Play (Maryland), Booker T in U-Street, the musical (Virginia), Greta in BENT (Maryland), Mitch Mahoney in 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Maryland), Curtis Jackson in Sister Act (Maryland), The Voice of Audrey II in Little Shop of Horrors (Maryland) and various choral ensemble work across D.C. DAVID GRAHAM, Production Associate

David GrahamA Clarksville native, David Graham joined the Roxy Regional Theatre as Production Associate in January 2022. He has performed over 400 roles for audiences from Sing Sing Correctional Facility to Syrian refugees in Swedish classrooms — touring with Covenant Players Theatre for almost fifteen years. After returning home to Tennessee, David made his professional hometown debut in Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Oklahoma! in 2018 and has since appeared in countless productions including The Fantasticks (Mortimer),How I Became a Pirate (Captain Braid Beard), To Kill a Mockingbird (Bob Ewell) and A Christmas Carol (Jacob Marley), among others. TYLER SAUNDERS, Music Director

Tyler SaundersA graduate of Austin Peay State University with a Masters of Music in Vocal Performance, Tyler has been with the Roxy Regional Theatre since September 2021, providing music direction and/or serving as pianist for productions such as All Shook Up, Richard O’Brien’s The Rocky Horror Show and It’s A Wonderful Life: The Musical, among others. In addition to his work at the Roxy, he also works as a vocal coach and collaborative pianist for the Theatre and Dance Department at Austin Peay State University. Tyler has performed in venues both locally and internationally, both as a pianist and a vocalist, and has been praised for his sensitive musicianship and his presence both on the stage and in the pit.

NOEL RENNERFELDT, Lighting Designer

Noel RennerfeldtNoel Rennerfeldt has been the resident Lighting Designer at the Roxy Regional Theatre since 2015. He is an Associate Professor of Scenic/Lighting Design at Austin Peay State University and serves as Technical Director for the Department of Theatre and Dance. Noel holds degrees from Wayne State College, Miami University and Northern Illinois University. His professional design credits include Playhouse on the Square in Memphis, Nettle Creek Players and Richmond Civic Theatre in Indiana, Shenandoah Summer Music Theatre in Virginia, Little Theatre on the Square in Illinois, and Broadway Palm West Dinner Theatre in Mesa, Arizona.

KATIE KENNEDY, Office Manager

A Clarksville native, Katie Kennedy has provided administrative support to the Roxy Regional Theatre since 2007. A longtime supporter of the arts, Katie also works part-time as an administrative assistant with the Clarksville-Montgomery County Arts & Heritage Development Council, serving as registrar of the Clarksville Writers Conference since 2008. She holds a B.S. in computer science with a minor in studio art from Austin Peay State University.
