Summer Plans

by RoxyRegionalTheatre on May 4, 2011

As spring has officially sprung in middle Tennessee, most are starting to think about how they will spend their upcoming summer. Most will venture off to the beach or on a cruise or to visit family, but don’t forget about your Roxy Regional Theatre this summer. After a very successful spring with productions of Hamlet, Doubt and Bea(u)tiful in the Extreme, we are looking forward to a summer packed with hit musicals.

First up, we have The Civil War, celebrating the Sesquicentennial anniversary of the Civil War and is a must see for Civil War buff’s but also every Clarksvillian as our community is rich in the history of the Civil War.
Following The Civil War, our children from our School of the Arts will present the award winning musical Big River, highlighting the adventures of Huckleberry Finn.
Our professional company comes back with the hit Almost Heaven, a musical taking the audience through the music of John Denver.
The Roxy School of the Arts and Professional Company will combine forces on our exciting production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
Our 28th season concludes with one of the most beloved musicals of all time, Rodgers and Hammerstein’s The Sound of Music.

We are also still raising fund for our building projects for the New Center for Arts and Education on the corner of 1st and Franklin and this is going to take the backing of all Clarksvillian’s in one way or another to make possible. So do your part and support your Roxy Regional Theatre.
See you at the theatre!
