Christopher Herr, playing Danny, comes to us from New York, having previously appeared as Troy Bolton in Disney’s High School Musical 1 and 2 with the Barrington Stage Company, as well as productions of Chicago, Showboat and Damn Yankees with the Mac-Haydn Theatre.
You may remember Ashley Harris, our Sandy, from her moving performances as Fantine in Les Miserables and Myrtle in The Great Gatsby or from her turn as Janet in The Rocky Horror Show. A Southern California native who is currently based in New York, Ashley has also appeared here at the Roxy in The Marvelous Wonderettes (Missy) and South Pacific (Ensign Dinah Murphy).
GREASE opens Friday, July 11, at 8pm and runs through August 16. Performances are on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 7pm and Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm, with 2pm matinees on Saturday, July 19 and August 2.
Those of you who know all the songs by heart (and even those of you who don’t) can show off your vocal chops at our GREASE Cookout & Singalong on Saturday, July 19. At 6:30pm, join us for a pre-show cookout under the marquee with hamburgers, hot dogs and all the fixin’s. Then at 8pm, sing your heart out along with Rydell High’s senior class of 1959 in that evening’s performance of GREASE. Tickets to the “GREASE Cookout & Singalong” are $40 (adults) and $25 (ages 13 and under).
