Roxy Regional School of the Arts

Since 1995, the Roxy Regional Theatre has been introducing youth to the experience of live theatre and expanding their knowledge of the craft through the School of the Arts. Children ages 10 to 18 learn various acting techniques and present a junior production on the mainstage as part of the regular season.

The Spring 2018 session of the School of the Arts runs January 20 through May 19. Classes meet every Saturday from 9:00am to 12:30pm. Students’ main focus this session will be ANNIE, JR., which they will produce and present on the mainstage, May 18 through June 9.

Cost is $100 per month (cash or check only, paid on the first Saturday of the month). Registration is available at the theatre between 9:00am and 2:00pm, Mondays through Fridays, or on the first day of classes. Summer Internships

Summer internship opportunities are available to any student who has completed at least one semester of the Roxy Regional School of the Arts and is interested in deepening his or her knowledge of the craft in the areas of acting, choreography, set construction and more. The 2018 Summer Internship program runs Tuesday, June 5, through Friday, July 13, on Mondays through Fridays from 9:00am to 3:00pm and includes the Parks & Rec Summer Playhouse program at no additional charge. (There is no class on Wednesday, July 4.) Cost is $300 for the entire six-week program (paid in full by June 5) or $50 weekly (paid each Monday). Application deadline is Wednesday, May 23.
