Roxy Regional School of the Arts

Roxy Regional School of the Arts

Since 1995, the Roxy Regional Theatre has been introducing youth to the experience of live theatre and expanding their knowledge of the craft through the School of the Arts.

The Roxy Regional School of the Arts will operate differently beginning in September 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to youth ages 9 to 18, the program has been expanded to include class offerings for adults 18 years of age and older.

A number of safety measures will also be in place, including extra cleaning between classes and limiting class sizes to no more than ten students to allow for proper social distancing. Facial coverings to mask the nose and mouth will also be required for staff and students, and sanitizing stations will be located throughout the building. To learn more about the steps the Roxy Regional Theatre staff are taking and what we are asking of our guests to limit the spread of this virus, please view our COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS AND REQUIREMENTS.

The Fall 2020 session runs September 7 through December 19. Classes meet once per week for one hour. (No classes will be held Thanksgiving weekend on November 26, 27 and 28.) We are offering open enrollment for the month of October to fill a limited number of remaining slots. Please note that the semester is already in progress, and these classes will begin the week of October 5. For this open enrollment session, the registration deadline for all classes is Saturday, October 3. Visit the links below for an overview of the program, class descriptions, schedule and instructor information.

Tuition starts at $100/month per class, with discounts available for multiple class registrations. Upon registration, monthly class payment totals will be determined by the Roxy Regional Theatre and communicated electronically with students. Payment is due in full by the first class of each month for all classes (if applicable). (Please note: You will not be charged at the time of initial registration, but shortly thereafter you will receive an email with additional registration information and an invoice for payment due on the first day of class.)

Effective January 1, 2020, a 3% fee for using a debit or credit card will apply to School of the Arts payments, so we strongly encourage cash or check payments. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, credit card processing fees severely cut into our budget every year, so we have found it necessary to implement this policy. Thank you for your understanding.
