Roxy Regional School of the Arts

Roxy Regional School of the Arts

Since 1995, the Roxy Regional Theatre has been introducing youth to the experience of live theatre and expanding their knowledge of the craft through the School of the Arts. Children ages 10 to 18 learn various acting techniques and present a junior production on the mainstage as part of the regular season.

The Spring 2020 session of the School of the Arts, as well as the production of BYE BYE BIRDIE JR., has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We truly apologize for the inconvenience, but the health and safety of our students, patrons, staff and our community as a whole are our top priority.

The Fall 2020 session will resume August 8 and run through December 19. Classes meet every Saturday from 9:00am to 12:30pm. Topics covered include Theatre History, Voice & Technical Theatre and Improvisation & Acting. The fall session will culminate in a showcase on the final day.

Effective January 1, 2020, a 3% fee for using a debit or credit card will apply to School of the Arts payments, so we strongly encourage cash or check payments. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, credit card processing fees severely cut into our budget every year, so we have found it necessary to implement this policy. Thank you for your understanding.
