Roxy Reads:
Eurydice

[Mainstage]

7pm November 9

Take a break from our full-size mainstage productions and join us as we continue our Roxy Reads series with a reading of EURYDICE by Sarah Ruhl. This is the perfect opportunity to sit back and listen to what makes great plays work: the story.

The classic myth of Orpheus is reimagined through the eyes of its heroine. Dying too young on her wedding day, Eurydice must journey to the underworld, where she reunites with her father and struggles to remember her lost love. With contemporary characters, ingenious plot twists and breathtaking visual effects, the play is a fresh look at a timeless love story.

Stick around after the reading for a talkback with our company of actors. We will discuss your thoughts, impressions and analysis of the selected work, and then our professional company will weigh in with their opinions to create a dialogue about each piece.
